It's a 5 days 4 night getaway with my dear chubbiana =p alright tatiana i know you're not chubby anymore. but chubbiana sounds more adorable. hahaha !
it's not a last minute trip but we booked 2 months before only.
Tatiana and I decided to go Bangkok just because we aim to shopping. 5 days in Bangkok really enough for you to shop , shop till you drop.
I will be sharing the places i go and some hotel that i will recommend because the location of the hotel.
Ladies, get ready your popcorn now. teheee! eh eh you are not gonna watching movies ya but read me read me read my post here. I'm typing it out till like cannot stop you know! too exciting!!
okay, so we are actually booked the flight ticket and hotels via Groupon since they have quite a lot of interesting deal. There are also some disadvantages. For instance, can't book the exact date that we want so we need to top up another $90 for the flight ticket and add in other miscellaneous cost. but we get to upgrade to Singapore Airlines - Economic Class only of course. can't really expect too much from the tour agency. but the ladies was nice, she spoke to us with a very good attitude so at least i won't get mad,huh?
Anyway other than flight ticket and hotels, the package come with free half day tour and 2 way airport transfer as well. so overall, i think it is not very expensive for this trip.
Alright we were reaching Changi airport and we had a quite bite at the staff canteen.
After reach bangkok airport there is person in charge from the tour agency to pick me up.
It was about 1 hour travel to our hotel and guess what with very nice car. just two of us.
the interesting part, after checking in. we step in our hotel room we were quite shocked. because the standard room is too small la! can't really have space to walk. It's ridiculous squeeze, So i decided to go down and asking to upgrade to deluxe room. Free of charge, tadaaaa !
We actually stayed at Richly Villa Hotel Its located at pratunam area which is shopping paradise for me.
This is more like boutique hotel, not very spacious but feel like a home. i am pretty like this hotel and people. the only disadvantages is this hotel located at inner part from the main road. you have to walk about 100-200m in order to go out to main road. it will be quite dangerous for two ladies to walk at night.
as i know, it is not really safe to mingle around at night.BUT, if you stay at big hotel and located at the main road then it's different story ha. I would recommend you stay at Grand Diamond Hotel or Baiyoke Hotel.

Grand Diamond-Located at Pratunam area just 5 minutes away from our hotel but this hotel combine with shopping concept. so basically you can shop anytime you want. What's more ?
This hotel lobby linked with starbucks Cafe, please grab your favorite coffee and enjoy the beautiful afternoon with your book! and the best thing is PLATINUM SHOPPING MALL which is known as WHOLESALE retail clothes,bag, and shoes just located beside of this hotel!!! Damn convenient right??
Basically, you won't really need to worry what time you need to go back and it's very safe just because this hotel located along the main road and even at midnight it will still crowded like clarke quay.
Bangkok night view is absolutely beautiful, please have a stroll at night and enjoy beverage at black canyon( A cafe nearby Platinum shopping mall). Don't sleep too early yall!

So The first day in Bangkok we went to the half day complementary tour by local tour guide. they do speak english of course. we just spin around a few temple and merchandise shop.

After the tour we were planning to go to chatuchak weekend market and the very kind tour guide willing to drop us there. Thank you! hihi.
we reached chatuchak about 12pm. It was damn crowded and big. Million items are there, chatuchak market is pretty simillar with bugis street. just that most of the items are cheaper for sure.
but after few hours of walking i was actually did not get anything that i like and it's pretty hot weather.
Hence, we decided to go back to hotel to rest for awhile then go out and have a walk at nearby area.
Oh waitt, Before you go back please try this Chicken noodle. it was so delicious!
Teheheeee!! After few minutes of walking, we found a pratunam bazar and market along the street that nearby our hotel.
Interesting.. i bought 4-5 bags at once everything is so cheap. Bag sell at 199 thai bat ($8) for those beautiful bag. so i just grab a few of them before they sold out.
The blueberry look alike bag i get it for $12 and the gold and black hand carry bag i bought 2 for about $30. then the rest was $8/each.
I will actually recommend you to walk around and just randomly enter any shopping mall at pratunam area. you will surprise that there is more treasure you can get compare to chatuchak market and platinum shopping mall.
This is the small tiny coin bag that i get along the street as well. selling at 250 thai bat for 15pcs. Convert to Sing dollar it's about $10 only. Dear god, damn cheapoooo. i bought it as souvenir to all my best friends.
Please do learn how to 杀价 so you can buy more things in Bangkok. heehe !
My most satisfied shopping in bangkok! This make up brushes set only cost about $22! the original price of this is 800 thai batt then i bargain with the seller until 550 thai batt. LOL. a very good quality brushes and i assumed it is every girl dreams to have a make up brushes set like this. ho?

Those are all my shopping in Bangkok. Tell u what, the total for those shopping item only cost me $385 !!
and another $115 goes to food and other miscellaneous cost.
So u can tell that $500 is basically more than enough le la.
while the total flight and hotel are $485. so it wasn't exceed $1000.
I would recommend you to this website to book your flight and hotels according to your available date.
and stay at the hotel nearby pratunam area.
Don't bring too much clothes to bangkok. keep your luggage empty in order to put your shopping items! hahaaa. and the most important is to bring a small sling bag so you won't get tired while shopping and aware of pick pocket. sling bag with zip lock will be perfect.
